Yeovil Town manager Gary Johnson told BBC Somerset: "I felt confident there was light at the end of the tunnel. The lads pulled it together today. I'm so pleased Jordy (Hiwula) got his goal. He's been unlucky and we've kept persevering and he's been a match-winner for us today. But I thought we had a few match-winners out there today. It was as comfortable as a 1-0 win can be."
Jordy Hiwula scored his first goal since joining on loan from Manchester City to send Yeovil through to the second round.

Plymouth Argyle 2-0 AFC Fylde
AFC Fylde winger Mike Barnes: "The second half especially we did alright. We put pressure on them and were unlucky not to take our chances. We had a couple of good chances first half, and if we'd have taken them it could have been different.
"It's nice to come and play on the nice pitches with a good crowd. It's what everybody wants to do."

Walsall 2-2 Shrewsbury Town
Shrewsbury Town manager Micky Mellon told BBC Radio Shropshire: "I am very disappointed to have conceded a goal at the very end, but we are in the hat for the draw on Monday and we'll have a chance when we take them back to the Meadow - we'll know what the prize is. We have had a few changes forced upon us, but if you'd have said that we would score twice here at Walsall I'd have said that would have given us a good chance. There was a derby feel about the game, played in a very good atmosphere and it was a really good cup tie."
League Two side Shrewsbury were 2-1 up until the 90th minute but Tom Bradshaw equalised for Walsall, against his former club, to take it to a replay.

AFC Telford United manager Liam Watson told BBC Radio Shropshire: "If you asked me if I wanted to stay in the competition at the start of the day, I would have taken it. I think we've missed a great opportunity to get through at the first time of asking. I feel sorry for the lads who put in such a great effort, and the fans were fantastic. It was a difficult pitch, puddles everywhere and it was difficult to clear your lines in the second half."

BBC Radio Sheffield's Jonathan Buchan speaking to Sheffield United manager Nigel Clough: "Nigel Clough tells me (Blades striker Marc) McNulty missed the game as he picked up a facial injury in an incident in a Scottish nightclub. The highest-placed side in the first round have made it through despite a late wobble - League One leaders Bristol City have won 2-1 at Gillingham, who were 2-0 down before Danny Kedwell's penalty gave them late hope.
Oxford, 19th in League Two, are only seven places above a Grimsby side lying second in the Conference, but earned a comfortable 3-1 win at Blundell Park, with James Roberts celebrating his new contract by scoring twice for the U's.

Southport - three points above the Conference relegation zone - have earned a home replay against League Two side Dagenham and Redbridge after a 0-0 draw in east London.

So not quite the shockwaves of last night and Warrington's defeat of Exeter, but they will be dancing on the streets of Dover and Chester tonight. They have created the biggest headlines today, the Conference duo knocking out Morecambe and Southend respectively.
And honourable mention, too, for Cheltenham of League Two, who put five past League One high-flyers Swindon Town, and also Cambridge for their defeat of Fleetwood.

Byron Harrison is the hero for League Two Cheltenham, scoring a hat-trick in their 5-0 demolition of 10-man Swindon, who are 34 places above them in the league standings. Not bad for a striker who had only scored twice all season before today.
There are 34 places too between Conference strugglers Dover and League Two Morecambe, but the non-league side won 1-0 thanks to Stefan Payne's first-half winner.
Elsewhere, Eastleigh are into the second round for the first time, beating Conference rivals Lincoln 2-1 with a late Ben Strevens goal.

Barnet 1-3 Wycombe Wanderers
League Two leaders Wycombe's superb start to the season continued as they sailed into the second round at the expense of Barnet, who finished the game with nine men. The Bees took the lead through John Akinde inside two minutes before Paul Hayes equalised from the spot. Sam Togwell then saw red and Barnet failed to battle back. Aaron Pierre and Sam Wood added two more for the Chairboys before Andy Yiadom's late sending-off.

Bury 3-1 Hemel Hempstead Town
James Potton's deflected strike gave Conference South side Hemel Hempstead a surprise lead, which was quickly cancelled out by Andrew Tutte, and it took late goals from Nathan Cameron and Daniel Nardiello to seal Bury's spot in Monday's round two draw.

Plymouth Argyle 2-0 AFC Fylde
Another non-league side bites the dust as John Sheridan's Plymouth knock out Conference North side AFC Fylde.
It was a valiant effort by the men managed by former Tranmere and Bury player Dave Challinor (without his famous long throws on the pitch), but in the end Argyle had enough to see out a comfortable victory thanks to goals from Peter Hartley and Marvin Morgan.

Hemel Hempstead have been a credit to the Conference South today, giving as good as they have got, but their FA Cup journey and their resistance is ended by Daniel Nardiello as the striker heads in from four yards to seal Bury's spot in round two.

League Two side Cambridge have upset League One opponents Fleetwood 1-0 at the Abbey Stadium, with Kwesi Appiah scoring moments after visitors' striker Jamie Proctor was sent off.
Crewe, bottom of League One, have held League Cup quarter-finalists Sheffield United to a 0-0 draw at Gresty Road, while Conference South leaders Basingstoke face a replay at Conference side AFC Telford after their meeting finished 1-1.

Things go from bad to worse for Barnet defender Andy Yiadom as he sees red for a rash challenge on Josh Scowen. Yiadom gifted Wycombe their penalty in the first half and now the Bees must play out the last few minutes with only nine men.

The dream is over for Ryman Premier side East Thurrock, as they succumb to defeat at Victoria Park against Hartlepool, 60 places above them in the football pyramid.
Despite his late error, East Thurrock keeper David Hughes was named as the sponsors' man of the match for a string of wonderful saves that kept his side in the game.
For Pools it will be pure relief they have avoided being knocked out by a non-league side, but for East Thurrock, it is back to league business on Tuesday with a home game against Leatherhead.

Cheltenham striker Byron Harrison's day just gets better. He has completed his hat-trick for League Two side Cheltenham, who are thrashing their League One opponents Swindon 5-0. The visitors have clearly suffered following the first-half sending off of Nathan Thompson, his third red card of the season.
A late winner at Eastleigh? Ben Strevens has put them 2-1 up against Conference rivals Lincoln.

What a day this is proving to be for Cheltenham. Mark Yates' League Two side are 4-0 up against League One Swindon, with Matt Richards scoring. Swindon don't enjoy the FA Cup much these days - they lost 4-0 in the first round at non-league Macclesfield a year ago.

A couple of equalisers to tell you about in two of the all non-league ties.
Dartford, fourth from bottom of the Conference, are level in the Kent derby at Conference South side Bromley, with Danny Harris making it 1-1 three minutes into the second half.
And Chris Flood has scored for Conference South leaders Basingstoke to make it 1-1 at home to AFC Telford, who are bottom of the Conference.

Plenty of action to talk about in the first 45 minutes, but sadly none for the fans of Weston-super-Mare or Doncaster Rovers to view at Woodspring Stadium.
Referee Tim Robinson postponed the game because of a waterlogged pitch and confirmation was announced around 20 minutes before the scheduled 15:00 GMT kick-off, leaving a lot of the travelling supporters unhappy following a 200-mile trip to the West Country.

Weston-super-Mare manager Mickey Bell speaking to BBC Sport about their postponed game against Doncaster: "Everyone in the ground is really disappointed. Our club has worked 24-7 to make this a success and to have it taken away at the death is devastating.
"The referee felt the penalty area was too dangerous to play. He took a long time to come to it and we've got to respect that. I agree that it is a bit tricky but I know myself and (Doncaster manager) Paul Dickov wanted to start the game.

In August 2013, the Hertfordshire town of Hemel Hempstead earned the unenviable title of "Britain's ugliest town".
Today their football club, currently plying their trade in the Conference South, visit League Two side Bury hoping to cause an FA Cup upset.
To try and boost the town's reputation, here are five facts about Hemel Hempstead you may not know:
- Actor Roger Moore lived there in the 1960s before he became famous for his role as James Bond.
- Former world number one golfer Luke Donald and Olympic gymnast Max Whitlock both hail from the town.
- King Henry VIII - between his third and fourth wives - granted the town its charter in 1539.
- It claims to have Britain's first purpose-built multi-storey car park.
- Hemel Hempstead Town are appearing in the FA Cup first round proper for the first time since 1938, when they lost 2-1 to Bromley. Back then, they were known as Apsley and were playing in the superbly-named Spartan League.

So, with 21 minutes before the scheduled kick-off time at Woodspring Stadium, the tie between Weston-super-Mare and Doncaster Rovers is called off.
The majority of the surface looked in good shape, but a couple of areas in the two goalmouths looked really boggy, so it comes as no real surprise.
Doncaster's supporters have done a 400-mile round trip for nothing.
Rocks striker Higgins avoids yellow peril

East Thurrock United are hoping to defeat Hartlepool United, the Football League's bottom club, in the FA Cup first round today and will aim to do so with the help of in-form striker Sam Higgins.
He scored a hat-trick for the Ryman Premier side in their 7-1 thrashing of Bath City in the fourth qualifying round, but he was also booked in that match.
East Thurrock believed that it was his fifth yellow card of the season, which would have ruled him out of today's tie, but the club later found they had made an administrative error and it was, in fact, only his fourth booking of the campaign.

The FA Cup is often the only place that players can parade their talents and possibly earn a dream move to a club at a higher level, as Kevin Keegan knows only too well.
The ex-England captain told BBC Surrey: "All these non-league players going in should see it as an opportunity. It will raise their profile a little bit. If you are playing a Football League side, there will be scouts at the game on the lookout for talent - lads who maybe failed somewhere and have suddenly found something or lads who have never been given a chance.
"That's what happened to me. I got spotted by Bill Shankly playing for Sc*nthorpe in a first-round replay against Tranmere Rovers at Goodison Park (in 1970-71). The FA Cup got me my move to Liverpool."
Just over three years later, Keegan was scoring for the Reds in their 1974 FA Cup final win over Newcastle United at Wembley.

John Gregory has played for QPR and managed Aston Villa in past FA Cup finals, losing on both occasions. Today he is in charge of Crawley for their first-round tie with Yeovil.
Both teams have excellent FA Cup pedigrees, with Crawley twice making it to the last 16 in recent seasons and famously giving Manchester United a fright at Old Trafford in 2011 when they were still a non-league club.
Recalling his own memories of the competition, Gregory told BBC Sussex: "As a kid I was a Spurs fan. In 1961 I was seven and saw my team in the FA Cup final. I just fell in love with it.
"When I finally played in it in 1982, against Tottenham, it was just a schoolboy dream. I was 29. There are players who are much better than me that have never played in it and have missed their chance."
'When we scored, I felt the ground shake'

The FA Cup first round gives us an excuse - not that we needed much of one - to reminisce over memorable games from years gone by.
In 2005, the Scholars Ground was nearly the scene of one of the most famous upsets in FA Cup history when Chasetown of the Midland Football Alliance took on Oldham in the first round.
In front of 3.2m watching on TV, Nicky Harrison's volley gave the non-league side a shock lead, only for the former FA Cup semi-finalists to draw level and beat them in a replay.
Steve Wilson, Match of the Day's commentator that day, has revisited the tie which thrust a little-known Staffordshire town into the limelight.

West Ham United may not be joining the FA Cup until the third round, but they will still have a hand in this year's first round.
As Sam Allardyce's men are at home to Aston Villa in the Premier League today, Ryman Premier side East Thurrock United have used the Hammers' usual coach for away games for their near-600-mile round trip to Hartlepool.
The Rocks have only reached the first round once before, when they were beaten at home by then-League Two Macclesfield in 2011.
"It's a little bit of luxury - that's where some of the money is going to go," manager John Coventry told BBC Essex. "We're trying to give our players an experience like they were a pro player just for this weekend."

Plymouth Argyle supporters will need no reminding about the perils of facing non-league opposition in the early rounds of the FA Cup.
The Devon side, who famously reached the semi-finals in 1984 as a third-tier club, were drawn against Dorchester Town of the Conference South in the first round two years ago.
Plymouth had a man sent off inside the first 10 minutes and Dorchester went on to win the tie 1-0. To make matters worse, their only goal was scored by Jake Gosling, who had been on Plymouth's books as a youngster.
The Pilgrims suffered a similar fate a year earlier against Southern Premier side Stourbridge. They had Paul Bignot sent off in the first half and lost 2-0.
AFC Fylde, second in the Conference North, have made the long trip from Lancashire to Home Park today.

All 79 of the clubs remaining in the FA Cup first round this weekend know that they are extremely unlikely to win the competition, but several clubs from the third tier have dared to dream and come mighty close over the years.
At the first-round stage last season, Sheffield United needed a late penalty to beat Colchester United. Victories against Cambridge United, Aston Villa, Fulham, Nottingham Forest and Charlton Athletic sent them through to a Wembley semi-final, where they lost 5-3 to Hull City.
The Blades begin this season's FA Cup journey this afternoon at fellow League One club Crewe Alexandra.

Five Football League clubs - Cheltenham Town, Swindon Town, Gillingham, Sc*nthorpe United and Bury - went out to non-league opposition in last season's FA Cup first round.
Conference North side Brackley earned a replay against the Gills of League One and booked a spot in the second round for the first time in their 123-year history with a 1-0 home win, courtesy of Glenn Walker's first-half winner. Cue the obligatory picture of jubilant fans jumping all over the scorer of the winning goal.
But for every fairy story, there seems to be a tale of harsh reality for the minnows at this stage of the competition. St Albans took an early lead in their first-round tie against Mansfield Town, who then proceeded to put eight goals past them.

Weston-super-Mare's captain Tom Jordan was part of the Havant and Waterlooville side who reached the FA Cup fourth round as a Conference South side in 2007-08, leading twice against Liverpool at Anfield before losing 5-2.
He tells Football Focus: "The players are excited. Now you're just trying to keep calm. We hope the referee makes the right call and gets the game on. We'll just prepare right in the next hour and try to get off to a good start."
Pitch inspection at Mansfield

Weston-super-Mare v Doncaster Rovers isn't the only game which is being affected by the weather on this wet November day.
Mansfield Town have confirmed referee Kevin Wright will conduct a pitch inspection at 13:30 GMT because of torrential rain in Nottinghamshire.

One Direction singer and Doncaster Rovers fan Louis Tomlinson has been speaking to Football Focus about what makes the FA Cup beautiful.
"The FA Cup's special because it gives smaller clubs a chance of the limelight," he said. "You might have a team in League One struggling and then they go on a good run in the FA Cup, and that gives everyone a lift."
Louis may just have been thinking of Doncaster there - they go into today's match lying 17th in League One.

"I remember being on the end of an upset when I was at Preston. We got beaten 3-2 at Scarborough in a game that should never, ever have taken place. There was so much ice and snow. The health and safety boys would never have let it go ahead now."
That was a second-round tie way back in December 1975, when Preston were a third-tier side, and Scarborough were in the Northern Premier League.

Hot dog vendors will be firing up their generators, the tea urns will be heating up, commentators will be trying to distinguish their plasterers from their used car salesmen.

Warrington Town's goal hero Craig Robinson, brother of MK Dons manager Karl, is a plasterer by day and now League Two club slayer by night.
The defender's seventh-minute header gave the eighth-tier side a 1-0 victory over Exeter City, and he seemed pretty pleased with himself afterwards.
"I just can't believe it, I'm speechless. This is what I've dreamt about since the draw came out," he said.

I imagine there would have been a lot of sore heads in Warrington this morning, after last night's incredible 1-0 win against Exeter City, a club 100 places above them in the league ladder.
Defender Craig Robinson scored early in the match and, after a brave defensive display, the non-leaguers held on to secure a famous win, sparking jubilant scenes and a pitch invasion at the final whistle.
Warrington Town manager Shaun Reid, brother of former England international Peter, said: "These boys deserve it. No one will want to come here in the next round. Everyone was a hero. They died for me."

The magic of the FA Cup is alive and well.
This season's first round got off to a flying start, with eighth-tier Warrington Town upsetting the odds and dumping out Exeter City of League Two in front of the BBC cameras last night.
Today, 17 more non-league clubs are in action and 11 of them are taking on Football League opposition.
