Germany's penalty: Explained
Here’s the in-stadium explanation.

Joakim Maehle booked
60' Germany 1-0 Denmark
On the hour mark, Denmark left wing-back Joakim Maehle is booked, meaning he will miss Denmark's next game, the quarter-final (if they get there).
That would require them to defeat Germany tonight though...
Germany manager Julian Nagelsmann has also received a caution. I reckon that was for one of his coaching staff complaining about Sane's fall in the box when Havertz was through on goal.
What a run from Havertz! Only lacking the finish!
58' Germany 1-0 Denmark
Incredible, incredible touch from Kai Havertz, latching onto a forward pass, allowing it through his legs before knocking it forward past a hapless Andreas Christensen.
Sublime skill, and it took him one-on-one. He bore down on goal, Kasper Schmeichel rushed out... but he chipped it narrowly wide.
In the middle, Leroy Sane wanted a penalty for being 'taken out' but I don't think there was much in it, Christensen was just running backwards and collided naturally with Sane.
Raucous atmosphere in Dortmund
Berlin, Berlin, wir fahren nach Berlin.
That's the German version of We're Going to Wembley and it's shuddering around the Westfalenstadion now.
How 'Snicko' helped award German penalty
UEFA
59' Germany 1-0 Denmark
Here is a screenshot of how cricketing technology 'Snicko' helped show Joachim Andersen's fingers brushed the ball, allowing Michael Oliver to give the penalty.
A mad few minutes
Not sure if it came across on the TV, but when Havertz and his team-mates celebrated in the front of the Denmark fans, there was a flurry of plastic cups thrown in the direction of the Germany players.
That's one for the UEFA delegate. What a mad couple of minutes.

Thomas Delaney was offside
UEFA
57' Germany 1-0 Denmark
Confirmation that the Denmark 'goal' was disallowed because of a marginal offside for Thomas Delaney, the Denmark No 8.
Poor old Joachim Andersen
What a 60 seconds for Andersen - an exhilarating high and then, in quick succession, two excruciating lows.
You have to feel sorry for Andersen
You have to feel sorry for Andersen. I was watching them when that VAR decision came in.
And then we had a VAR penalty... against the same player.
VAR said no... for Denmark
VAR sagt nein.
But there was a warning for Germany there from that disallowed Andersen goal, because that was extremely ordinary defending from a set-piece.
GOAL! The stadium erupts for the host nation!

And Kai Havertz sticks it in!
I'm a little surprised that captain Ilkay Gundogan didn't take it, but Kai Havertz felt confident and decided to step up.
Kasper Schmeichel went the right way and dived at full-stretch to his left, but Havertz's kick was right in the corner, kissing the post on the way in.
Bish, bash, bosh. Germany lead 1-0.

PENALTY GIVEN!

53' Germany 0-0 Denmark
Michael Oliver gives the spot-kick!
I don't know, that seems harsh to me. His hands were away from his body 'in an unnatural position', but it was very close to him, I'm not sure what he could have done.
He wasn't trying to gain an advantage. Kai Havertz to take...
PENALTY CHECK!
52' Germany 0-0 Denmark
Oh man, there's a VAR check for a potential handball at the other end...
It was a cross from Germany's David Raum inside the Danish penalty area, replays show the ball hit Joachim Andersen's outstretched hand inside the area.
Michael Oliver checks it at the side of the pitch...
NO GOAL! It's been disallowed!

50' Germany 0-0 Denmark
Another big moment in this match.
It's ruled out!
GOOOAAAAALLL! Denmark take the lead!
Getty Images
48' Germany 0-1 Denmark
Denmark strike first! It's Joachim Andersen with it!
But VAR is checking it - I believe for an offside.
It was really scrappy inside the penalty area, the ball bobbling and bouncing around, and Joachim Andersen ended all that by lashing it low and into the bottom-left corner past Manuel Neuer. Nice, cool finish.
Michael Oliver is still talking to VAR official Stuart Attwell...
Bad vibes again

Bad vibes again. Can still hear thunder in the distance.
Michael Oliver, the referee, was talking to the players - in particular, the two captains. For now though, the second half is underway
I would guess he has told them that, if it comes over the stadium again, he wants them off straight away.
We shall see.

Back under way
46' Germany 0-0 Denmark
No! We are back up and running.
Obviously the referee and the relevant authorities are happy to continue based on how things are set with the weather currently.
Denmark kick off to Christian Eriksen.
Here we go.
Michael Oliver having a word with the captains

Hmm, referee Michael Oliver is having a chat to the two team captains.
Information relating to the weather, seemingly...
He's pointing up to the sky and smiling.
Might there be a delay to the restart in proceedings?
The players are back out!
Moments away from the second half.
Who does history favour?
Denmark have only won one of their 16 matches at the European Championships when drawing at half time (Drawn four, lost 11).
Positive news for Germany...
On the other hand, Germany have not won (in 90 or 120 minutes) in their last five major tournament games that were goal-less at half-time.
They last time they did was the 2014 World Cup final, where they beat Argentina 1-0 thanks to Mario Gotze's goal late into extra time.
Positive news for Denmark...
