See you in 2023
We need to call it a night and let you get away to watch Sportscene, which is starting on BBC Scotland in a couple of minutes. Twenty goals for you to enjoy...
Have a great Hogmanay and we'll be back with more live football on 2 January.
Neilson looks to 'dominate' derby
FT: St Johnstone 2-3 Hearts
Hearts boss Robbie Neilson spoke to BBC Sportsound: "I enjoyed the first half, I thought we played well, we controlled the game, played through the lines, got into good areas and we did exactly what we wanted to do.
"Second half, St Johnstone had more control and made the game more erratic. We couldn't get the control of the midfield area and let them back into it. It was an entertaining game.
"We want to pass with purpose. We did that first half, second half we didn't. We started going back. It allowed St Johnstone to pressure us and we need to be more aggressive in these situations.
"We're delighted with Robert Snodgrass, off the park as well. He's a top player, he understands the game. He sits further back now he's getting a bit older. He controls game and we've been pleased with him.
"Today we've come here with 10 first team players out, but we've adapted and players have stepped up. To be sitting third, with a game in hand, at the turn of the year is outstanding from the squad."
"Craig (Gordon) got scanned today, we'll know in the next day or two. Stephen is working through concussion protocols.
"It's the biggest game of the season for us. It always is. The place will be absolutely rocking. We need to do what we did today, dominate."
'Kilmarnock by far the better team'
FT: Kilmarnock 2-1 Aberdeen
Cammy Bell
Former Kilmarnock goalkeeper on BBC Sportsound
It's a massive three points for Kilmarnock. They were by far the better team. They looked like the team sitting fourth rather than Aberdeen.
'Leadership an issue for Aberdeen'
FT: Kilmarnock 2-1 Aberdeen
Willie Miller
Former Aberdeen captain on BBC Sportsound
At least Jim Goodwin is being honest in his assessment and he'll be hoping for a reaction.
It's a new team and I think they need to add a bit of steel. They need leaders on the pitch.
'Not a single positive' for Aberdeen - Goodwin
FT: Kilmarnock 2-1 Aberdeen
Aberdeen manager Jim Goodwin says "the scoreline flattered us" after his side's defeat at Rugby Park as he offers fans an apology for a tame performance.
"We were really poor in both aspects of the game and we got exactly what we deserved on the night - nothing," he tells BBC Sportsound. "It was abysmal from start to finish.
"Something I have never had to label at the players is a lack of fight, desire and commitment but tonight is really disappointing for us and one we can never allow to happen again.
"There is nothing we can take from the game tonight, there is not a single positive. Take Matty Kennedy's goal out of it, there is nothing we can look back on and think we did that well.
"The two goals are an example that we cannot defend the box properly and we offered nothing going forward. We had no control of the game at all."

'A point gained' - Robinson
FT: Livingston 1-1 St Mirren
St Mirren manager Stephen Robinson tells BBC Sportsound: "It's always a tough game to come away to Livi. When we had 11 men against 10, we didn't move the ball quick enough... As soon as we went down to 10 men we were very good.
"It's 100% a point gained. People think it's easy when you play against 10 men but credit to David [Martindale] for what he's done with their team there. They might lose a forward player but they kept their shape.
"I probably have to look at myself because we were just about to take Mark [O'Hara] off. It's hard to take one of your best players off the park and we got punished for it. That's the way football works now, you can't touch anyone if you get booked."

Red card? It was verging on amber - Martindale
FT: Livingston 1-1 St Mirren
Livingston manager David Martindale: "Pittman's sending off - I don't think it was a clear and obvious error giving him a yellow card so I don't know why he [referee Steven McLean] was being sent to watch it on the screen. It was verging on amber. I think it's a very, very soft red. We controlled large portions of the first half with 10 men.
"We were unlucky on a couple of occasions. We got caught on the counter late on. I don't know why we were so open because we were working on it during the week. Brophy had the shot over the bar - if he squared it, we'd have lost the game. But I'm delighted with the boys. That's the last two games we've had very harsh red cards. Hopefully we can keep 11 men on the park next week."
Hibs' Johnson 'positive for 2023'
FT: Hibernian 0-4 Celtic
Hibs boss Lee Johnson shows a flair for understatement by saying "it's fair to say the better team won".
"But we really took the game to Celtic in the first 15 minutes. The second 15 minutes, they owned, bossed it on the ball. That's my criticism. Could we have applied more pressure?
"Against a side of that quality, we're just not there yet. I'd like us to have been switched on more for a couple of the goals but we had chances and counter-attacked well.
"We have to keep building and we have to do that over windows and with development. I think there's a lot to be positive about for 2023. We have an opportunity to rejiggle the squad and we have some really good young players coming through. For me, the club is still full of potential.
On the impending derby at Tynecastle, he adds "we haven't won there enough".
"We are going there believing we can win the match and it's important for everyone to know."
'Story of our season' - Hammell
FT: Rangers 3-0 Motherwell
Motherwell manager Steven Hammell has been speaking to Sportsound now: "It was a tough game for us.
"We are putting on a couple of 16 year olds who conducted themselves really well but that shows illustrates where we are at right now in terms of personnel.
"We started the game well and we were on the front foot. We got into some great areas but weren't clinical enough. I think that's pretty much the story of our season.
"The work ethic and application is never in question, but when we are in those moments and fine margins, we need to do better.
"The next game becomes even more important now. It's massive."

'Pleased with the players' resilience' - Fox
FT: Dundee United 3-0 Ross County
Dundee United head coach Liam Fox has been giving his thoughts to Sportsound after his side claimed a vital three points.
"There was moments of good stuff," he told Sportsound. "I've seen us play better than that, but tonight was about the result and I'm delighted the players stood up and ground the result out.
"We scored at the right times. I was pleased with the resilience of the players - we stood strong tonight, and that was a pleasing aspect for me.
"We're delighted with the three points, but we're back to work tomorrow. We've got a difficult game at St Johnstone on Saturday, and there's going to be ups and downs between today and the end of the season.
"[Charlie Mulgrew] brings calmness. He got his head on the set-piece for the second goal, and he brings a level of consistency to our play. I've seen him better, he looked a bit rusty.
"We still need to keep pushing and improving. We're taking every week as it comes."
'Snodgrass a stand-out for Hearts'
FT: St Johnstone 2-3 Hearts
Michael Stewart
Former Hearts midfielder on Sportsound
For large swathes of the game Hearts were very good. The experience and composure of Robert Snodgrass was very important, with so many key players missing.
'An incredible year for Celtic'
FT: Hibernian 0-4 Celtic
Pat Bonner
Former Celtic goalkeeper on BBC Sportsound
It's been an incredible year for Celtic. Ange Postecoglou has stuck with his beliefs and the players believe in everything he says.
Celtic's work rate tonight was really impressive and they really could have scored more goals.
'We're the fittest team in the competition' - Postecoglou
FT: Hibernian 0-4 Celtic
Celtic manager Ange Postecoglou is a happy man after a big win at Easter Road.
"We had a feeling Hibs would come at us and the first 10 minutes was a real game," he tells Sportsound. "We just stayed really strong and eventually we wore them down.
"I think one part of this team that is underestimated is fitness. I think we're the fittest team in the competition. The players work hard every day and we want to bring that to every game.
"I sensed we could go for the kill and the boys were up for it."
On the prospect of visiting Ibrox on Monday, he says: "We know it's a significant game.
"It's a showcase game. They are second and we're first. There's all of those elements, but I can assure you we put in the same preparation for every game and we'll be ready for it.
"It's always tough but these are the games you want to be involved in and we're going in with some decent form."

'Derby is a great leveller' - Beale
FT: Rangers 3-0 Motherwell
Rangers manager Michael Beale has been speaking to Sportsound: "I just thought it was an interesting performance. We won 3-0, the positives were the three points and clean sheet, but we can be better.
"We managed to find the result we wanted without being free flowing. Maybe that's the story of the season so far that's weighing on the players. We spend a lot of time developing on the training pitch our style but it's important we keep winning.
"It was the aim to win the four games and go into the derby in a good place and we've done that."
When asked if there is a gap between Celtic and Rangers, Beale said: "I think at this moment in time they are playing at a higher level than us. I think everybody can see that.
"This time last year we were six points in front of them, so things can turn with time. With good recruitment, good training and a feel-good factor around the club, that's the aim. We need to go back to where we were and quickly.
"A derby is a great leveller."

Kyogo strikes again
Kyogo Furuhashi was on target again for Celtic tonight and is the Scottish Premiership's leading marksman with 14 goals.
Lawrence Shankland banged in another penalty for Hearts and is just one behind in the charts.
How many will those two have by the time we get to May?

Sportscene coming up at 11 o'clock
Sportscene will be along in an hour on BBC Scotland.
There are a few cracking goals to check out.
FULL-TIME - Hibernian 0-4 Celtic
A fast start from Hibs in the opening 10 minutes feels a long time ago.
Two goals from Aaron Mooy and one each from Daizen Maeda and Kyogo Furuhashi give league leaders Celtic a 12th straight league win and there could well have been a few more in a one-sided contest.
Hibs have lost eight of their last 10.
It's derby day up next for both these teams.

CLOSE!
Hibernian 0-4 Celtic
Almost a fifth for Celtic as James Forrest lifts a shot just over the top from near the penalty spot.
'Killie eventually beat Dons at home'
FT: Kilmarnock 2-1 Aberdeen
Kenny Crawford
BBC Sport Scotland at Rugby Park
Kilmarnock have beaten Aberdeen at Rugby Park for the first time since 3 December 2011, when Gary Harkins and James Dayton scored in a 2-0 win. Eighteen matches came and went before Derek McInnes ended that home hoodoo. It’s also four wins from last five home games for Killie.
'Scene set nicely for Monday'
FT: Rangers 3-0 Motherwell
Kheredine Idessane
BBC Sport Scotland at Ibrox
Rangers score three, Celtic score (at least) four - it's all set for quite a match on Monday, with Ibrox boss Michael Beale hosting his first derby as manager. He'll know his side will have to be sharper than they were against Motherwell this evening, and make fewer needless errors. That said, if they're as clinical come 2 January, we could be in for a fascinating match when the league leaders come first footing.
