Captain fantastic
Szoboszlai wasn't happy with the speed in which the medics came onto the pitch to help Varga last night.
"I was one of the first people there," Szoboszlai told Magenta TV.
"I was shocked myself, I tried to put him on his side, which is actually the best thing you can do in situations like this. He couldn't get enough air'
"I have no idea what the protocol is, whether people are not allowed to run onto the pitch if we need help, but..'
"You could see that it's a huge problem. Everyone was running, I was running - these things add up to seconds.
"It's not my decision, but we have to change something about it. We have to do it faster, much faster. Everyone knows that seconds add up."

Robertson's reaction
Nothing to say, we gave everything.
“It could have gone either way, that’s football. It will take a long time to get over this one.
“We had a lot of possession first half without doing anything with it. We had a lot of control but needed a cutting edge.
“We did go for it but we got sucker punched at the end. A draw wasn’t going to be enough so both teams went for it and unfortunately one of us had to lose.
“Tonight and for a long time we have to get over this. It’s a tough one. It’s devastating, there’s no buttering it up. We’re gutted.
“Thank you to the country. We felt everyone behind us, sorry for letting you down.”

Clarke wants explanation on pen
Steve Clarke was left seething after Scotland were denied a penalty, before Hungary snatched a late victory to leave the Scots waving goodbye to the Euros.
"The goal comes as a consequence of us trying to win the game," Clarke told BBC Sport.
"The goal is almost irrelevant. The moment for me was the penalty. It was 100% a penalty.
"Someone has to explain to me why it wasn't a penalty because otherwise I'm thinking there's something wrong. I don't understand how VAR can look at that and say it's not a penalty."

Sallai recalls horror incident
Hungary's man of the match Roland Sallai recalled the 'terrible moment' suffered by teammate Barnabas Varga.
"It was terrible, it was a terrible moment," he said.
"Fortunately he’s in a much better condition, he’s going to have to go for a minor operation probably, but he’s in a much better condition.
"We cross our fingers that he can return quickly."

BBC apologise
THE BBC apologised for showing a replay of Barnabas Varga's shocking injury during Scotland's defeat to Hungary.
Thestrikerwas rushed to hospital following aclash withScotlandgoalkeeper Angus Gunn.
He received lengthy medical treatment on the pitch as the BBC attempted to avoid showing a replay of the incident.
Uefa decided to show a replay of the incident so the BBC cut away to a wide angle out of respect for the stricken player.
BBC presenter Gabby Logan explained Uefa broke their own protocol by showing the replay.
She said live on air: "We were as shocked as you when they replayed that incident.
"There are protocols around this kind of thing afterChristian Eriksenthree years ago and we were very surprised that Uefa decided to show that replay, which is why we cut away immediately to a wide angle as soon as we could."

Match stats from Stuttgart Arena
Hungary’s goal scored by Kevin Csoboth in the 100th minute of the match was the latest ever in normal time of a European Championship match (timed at 99 minutes and 32 seconds).
The Scots had just 17 shots in total at Euro 2024. Since the group stage was introduced in 1980, that is the joint-fewest by a nation in the groups along with Northern Ireland at Euro 2016.

Full time - Scotland 0-1 Hungary
Scotland are beaten. Scotland are out. Scotland are heartbroken.
The final whistle is blown on Scotland's summer, and they have come up short.
Beaten agonisingly in the final seconds, Steve Clarke's side have finished bottom of Group A behind Germany, Switzerland and tonight's victors Hungary.
It could have all been so different if Stuart Armstrong had been awarded a second half penalty, but in the end the toothless Scots were undone by devastating counter-attack.

Scotland 0-1 Hungary
90+10. Scotland lose it right at the death!
With the seconds running down, the Scots win a corner and know it is their final chance.
The delivery from the left falls inside the area at the feet of Callum McGregor, who winds up for a shot that is magnificently blocked.
And then suddenly Hungary are away.
A brilliant ball right by Dominik Szoboszlai to Rollan Sallia - who looks offside - is taken to the byline, and then pulled back beautifully for substitute Kevin Csoboth to stroke home.
Wild celebrations at one end. Hearbreak and despair at the other.

90+6. McTominay slides a Morgan cross wide at the near post.
It's probably Scotland's best move of the night, but wouldn't have counted as Morgan had set off too early down at the right.

And forget the possibilities of two points being enough to get through, both teams need to win here.
